Due to demand, that has now been extended by a week to 9 August 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Boublil and Sch\u00f6nberg\u2019s epic musical <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westendtheatre.com\/316315\/news\/les-miserables-celebrates-its-40th-anniversary-in-london\/\">celebrated its 40th anniversary<\/a> last month in London, having opened at the Barbican Theatre in London on 8 October 1985. <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westendtheatre.com\/5297\/shows\/les-miserables\/\"><em>Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/em><\/a> is the world\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westendtheatre.com\/27702\/news\/inspiration\/top-10-longest-running-west-end-shows\/\">longest-running musical<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westendtheatre.com\/316459\/news\/les-miserables-the-arena-concert-spectacular-announces-more-dates-including-royal-albert-hall-radio-city-music-hall\/\">As announced last month<\/a>, the <em>Les Miserables The Arena Concert Spectacular<\/em> will continue its world tour through 2026, including Dublin\u2019s 3Arena (Friday 29 May \u2013 Saturday 6 June 2026), Birmingham\u2019s Utilita Arena (Thursday 11 \u2013 Sunday 14 June 2026), and London\u2019s iconic Royal Albert Hall (Thursday 18 \u2013 Sunday 21 June 2026).<\/p>\n<p>Full casting for the new tour dates is to be announced soon.<\/p>\n<p>The Arena Tour is currently playing at the Shanghai Grand Theatre in Shanghai, China until 28 December 2025.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trailer: Les Mis\u00e9rables The Arena Concert Spectacular<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"><noscript><\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"LES MISE\u0301RABLES  - The Arena Spectacular World Tour - New Trailer\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GyBiD_X03Sw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><\/noscript><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p><em><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westendtheatre.com\/180899\/shows\/les-miserables-the-arena-spectacular-tickets\/\"><em>Les Mis\u00e9rables The Arena Spectacular<\/em><\/a><\/em> world tour is an expanded version of the <em>Les Mis<\/em> Staged Concert, with a company of over 110 actors, musicians and crew. The major world tour of this Arena version began performances at SSE Arena Belfast on 19 September 2024, and then travelled around the UK, Europe, Australia, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.westendtheatre.com\/296361\/news\/les-miserables-the-arena-spectacular-casting-confirmed-for-initial-asia-tour-dates\/\">and now Asia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Les Mis\u00e9rables<\/em> is written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Sch\u00f6nberg and is based on the novel by Victor Hugo, with music by Claude-Michel Sch\u00f6nberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer and original French text by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel, additional material by James Fenton and adaptation by Trevor Nunn and John Caird.
