And as we head into the new year, they show no signs of slowing. Every platform claims these price increases are due to the streamer\u2019s intention to invest in new and better content this time around. But we can\u2019t help but feel like it\u2019s because raising prices is the easiest way to increase revenue without actually changing anything else. But, given literally everything about our current existence, we feel like the proverbial camel\u2019s back is about to break. Consumers only have so much money to spend, and the more price increases that come, the more likely they are to just cancel a subscription instead of agreeing to pay more. But we do know these Paramount+ price increases are coming. Paramount CEO David Ellison <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/business\/business-news\/paramount-plans-price-hikes-1236423098\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:wrote;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">wrote<\/a> in a shareholder letter in November 2025, \u201cOur ongoing investments in Paramount+ are enhancing the value we deliver to consumers. To support this continued investment, <strong>we plan to implement price increases in the US early in the first quarter of 2026<\/strong>, and we recently announced upcoming price adjustments in Canada and Australia. This Paramount+ price hike announcement might be good news for shareholders, but it\u2019s terrible news for consumers. Hopefully, when it comes, the increase in subscription costs for Paramount+ won\u2019t be too intense. But, even a few extra dollars a month adds up.
