ROYAL OAK, Mich.<\/strong> \u2013 A Royal Oak woman was arrested after she crashed her SUV into Ulta Beauty during a police chase.<\/p>\n The incident occurred on Sunday (Nov. 9) at 12:40 a.m. after Royal Oak police responded to a report of a white SUV driving on train tracks near West Fourth Street and South Center Street. <\/p>\n Police said they found the occupied vehicle near the tracks and approached the driver, who refused to cooperate.<\/p>\n Officials said they noticed one tire was going flat and saw an open container of alcohol in the car. <\/p>\n When asked for her driver\u2019s license, police said the driver fled northbound on Washington Avenue.<\/p>\n The driver led police on a pursuit west on Farnum Avenue to Oakridge Avenue, which ended at an alley parallel to northbound Woodward Avenue. <\/p>\n Police said she turned into the alley and accelerated into the parking lot of Ulta Beauty at 27844 Woodward Avenue, where she lost control and crashed into the building.<\/p>\n Despite the vehicle being lodged inside the store, officials said the driver tried to flee again by backing up and ramming a patrol car. <\/p>\n Police said she continued driving into the store, causing thousands of dollars in additional damage before becoming stuck on debris. <\/p>\n The woman was then taken into custody without further incident.<\/p>\n The driver was identified as 26-year-old Katrina Deann-Renee Patterson of Canton. <\/p>\n A man riding as a passenger was also arrested but later released with a citation for having open alcohol in a motor vehicle.<\/p>\n Patterson is suspected of driving under the influence, pending blood test results. <\/p>\n No officers were injured, and both Patterson and the passenger were medically evaluated for minor injuries from the crash.<\/p>\n On Monday, Nov. 10, Patterson was arraigned in the 44th District Court. <\/p>\n She faces multiple felony charges, including fleeing police, assaulting officers, and malicious destruction of property and a building.<\/p>\n Her criminal history includes a 2023 conviction for operating while intoxicated in Port Huron. <\/p>\n Bond was set at $50,000 cash, no 10%, and her next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 21, 2025.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Copyright 2025 by WDIV ClickOnDetroit – All rights reserved.<\/p>\n \u2018 The preceding article may include information circulated by third parties \u2019 <\/em><\/p>\n \u2018 Some details of this article were extracted from the following source www.clickondetroit.com \u2019 <\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" ROYAL OAK, Mich. \u2013 A Royal Oak woman was arrested after she crashed her SUV into Ulta Beauty during a police chase.
