Ponce de Leon\u00a0Avenue\u00a0and is pleasant but not forthright\u00a0about\u00a0exactly\u00a0how\u00a0one gains\u00a0admittance. Through that door, one\u00a0steps\u00a0into\u00a0Roaring Social Decatur, a speakeasy themed bar,\u00a0restaurant,\u00a0and music venue.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:278}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The\u00a0intriguing venue\u00a0made a\u00a0delightful impression on me when I stopped in on a Tuesday jazz night.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:278}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Subdued\u00a0lighting,\u00a0a\u00a0velvet-draped lounge,\u00a0a\u00a0horseshoe-shaped\u00a0bar\u00a0and\u00a0intimate\u00a0table seating\u00a0in an expansive space with servers decked out in 1920ish black and white attire add to the step-back-in-time atmosphere.\u00a0There\u2019s\u00a0also four\u00a0lanes\u00a0of duck pin (smaller balls, shorter lanes)\u00a0bowling\u00a0tucked around a corner\u00a0from the bar.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:278}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Roaring Social Decatur\u2019s theme is reminiscent of the speakeasies that sprang up from 1920-1933\u00a0during\u00a0the prohibition era when alcohol sales were banned. These illegal establishments, often hidden behind unmarked doors,\u00a0required\u00a0special knocks or passwords for entry.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:278}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Roaring Social Decatur, which opened Sept. 18\u00a0at the corner of Clairemont and W.
