According to an exclusive report by Rob Shuter<\/a>, some Saturday Night Live cast members were \u201cfurious\u201d with Pete Davidson\u2019s return to the show this week.<\/p>\n \u201c[Davidson] acted like he was doing everyone a favor,\u201d one insider claimed. \u201cHe\u2019s still the same loud, cocky guy \u2014 but now he\u2019s bitter,\u201d they added. Another insider alleged that the SNL alum \u201cignored old friends, bragged nonstop, and made people uncomfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n Furthermore, producers of the show, as per the report, are \u2018worried\u2019 about Davidson aiming for a \u201cfull-time return\u201d to the sketch comedy show after his unsuccessful venture into the movies. A longtime member of the show\u2019s staff allegedly said that Davidson \u201cneeds SNL more than they need him.\u201d The source further claimed, \u201cBut no one\u2019s rolling out a welcome mat.\u201d<\/p>\n Davidson returned to the show this weekend, joining Colin Jost and Michael Che at the Weekend Update desk. The star joked about a myriad of topics, including the decommissioned Staten Island ferry boat he purchased with Jost. \u201cWe even gave the boat a new name. You know, we thought \u2018The Staten Island Ferry\u2019 sounded too depressing. So now it\u2019s called the Titanic II,\u201d Davidson joked.<\/p>\n Despite the laughs on camera, the SNL alum\u2019s return left a sour taste among some cast members, the report said. One insider stated, \u201cThe Titanic II isn\u2019t the only thing sinking \u2014 Pete\u2019s ego might be next.\u201d<\/p>\n Shortly after his surprise appearance on SNL this weekend, Pete Davidson spoke to PEOPLE<\/a> about his return to the show. \u201cI had a great time hosting last time, and anytime you get that call, it\u2019s an honor and a privilege,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s always relevant, it\u2019s a hot show. People look forward to it, and the cast is great,\u201d Davidson added.<\/p>\n The comedian also gushed about SNL creator Lorne Michaels, saying, \u201cI owe that guy my life. He jump-started everything.
