Kelly Clarkson<\/a> is ready for the industry to break away from toxic beauty standards \u2014 or, at the very least, for people to stop thinking it\u2019s acceptable to tell women what to do with their bodies.<\/p>\n While onstage for one of her Studio Session shows at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas over the weekend, the hitmaker took a moment<\/a> to make sure her deep V-neck top was covering up everything it needed to, which reminded her of an unpleasant interaction with someone in the music business. \u201cI had some di\u2013 manager one time tell me to get a boob job,\u201d she recalled, the shock of the experience returning to her face as if it had just happened in that moment.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI was like, \u2018Why don\u2019t you get a di\u2013 job?’\u201d Clarkson continued. \u201cI\u2019m fine with my itty bitty ti\u2013ies, get out of here.\u201d<\/p>\n The vocalist went on to lament how comfortable people in the industry have become when it comes to commenting on the appearance of others. \u201cYou\u2019ve normalized crazy,\u201d she said as her audience laughed in agreement. \u201cEverybody out here looking like they\u2019re in The Capitol in Hunger Games \u2026 Calm down. Just get old. Be glad \u2014 not everybody gets to get old.\u201d<\/p>\n Clarkson has always been real about topics such as body image. Last year, she opened up<\/a> about taking a drug to help her lose weight after being diagnosed pre-diabetic, noting at the time that she \u201cdidn\u2019t see\u201d any issues with her weight until she watched back a tape of one of her performances.<\/p>\n \u201cAll of a sudden I paused it, and I was like, \u2018Who the f\u2014 is that?!\u2019\u201d she recalled in April 2024 on The Kelly Clarkson Show.<\/p>\n The American Idol alum now has just two 2025 shows left in her Studio Sessions residency at the Palace, scheduled for Nov. 14 and 15.
