Officials have released a cause of death for legendary rock guitarist Ace Frehley, who passed away<\/a> back on Oct. 16.<\/p>\n People reported<\/a> that the Morris County Medical Examiner declared that Frehley, who was 74, died of blunt trauma injuries. His death was ruled an accident. <\/p>\n Frehley\u2019s family had initially said in a statement that the former KISS guitarist had died after falling in his Morristown, N.J., home. <\/p>\n \u201cWe are completely devastated and heartbroken,\u201d the statement said. \u201cIn his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth. We cherish all of his finest memories, his laughter, and celebrate his strengths and kindness that he bestowed upon others.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe magnitude of his passing is of epic proportions, and beyond comprehension,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cReflecting on all of his incredible life achievements, Ace\u2019s memory will continue to live on forever!\u201d<\/p>\n Prior to his death, Frehley had canceled his remaining tour dates for 2025 due to what he described at the time as \u201cminor injuries\u201d due to a fall at his home. <\/p>\n \u201cDue to some ongoing medical issues, Ace has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of his 2025 dates<\/a>,\u201d a statement on his X account read.<\/p>\n Frehley was one of the founding members of and lead guitarist for KISS. He performed with the band, usually in his \u201cSpaceman\u201d or \u201cSpace Ace\u201d outfit and makeup, from 1973 until he left the band in 1982. <\/p>\n He rejoined the group in 1996 but left again 2002.
