Rogers, 82, best known for playing Maggie Horton on the daytime soap opera \u201cDays of Our Lives,\u201d had recently revealed that she had been diagnosed<\/a> with stage 2 colorectal cancer. <\/p>\n However, she told People<\/a> during a celebration of the show\u2019s 60th anniversary that she was now in remission. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m feeling so much better. I mean, my summer was rough. I had cancer removed, radiation, that was tough. But I didn\u2019t lose my hair. I guess I got it early,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n \u201cI was stage two, and it was a certain kind of chemo that they gave me, it was pills and the radiation, and it didn\u2019t affect it so that was good,\u201d she continued. <\/p>\n Rogers told the news outlet that her health scare has given her a new outlook on life.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t worry about the small things. It\u2019s not worth it. I was rushing here, and I went, \u2018Wait a minute. You\u2019re not going anywhere\u2019,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n She also credited her family and priest with helping her get through her illness, and said that she\u2019s slowly getting her energy back.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s about 70% right now,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m just basically letting things happen.
