Meghan Markle<\/a> appears to crack a three-word joke about her acting skills as she’s spotted on the film set<\/a> for Close Personal Friends. <\/em>The 44-year-old previously gave up her career as an actress upon getting engaged to Prince Harry<\/a> in 2017, with speculation having recently grown over whether she would return to her roots since stepping down from royal duties in 2020.<\/p>\n

And last week it was revealed that she will appear in a new Hollywood<\/a> film. Pictured arriving on set in Pasadena, California, on November 5, she reportedly introduced herself simply as ‘Meghan’, with an insider sharing that “everything about her was very sweet and calm”.<\/p>\n

According to the insider, Meghan also shared a joke about her acting skills<\/a>, which she hasn’t used professionally since 2017.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The insider told PEOPLE<\/a>: “She genuinely seemed excited to be on set”, with sharing that Meghan said that she felt “a bit rusty”.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the publication, they added: “She was joking that she felt a bit rusty, but it was obvious that she had rehearsed and that it was a big deal for her to be back.<\/p>\n

“And she was great. She had a very warm energy, too. She was super pleasant to be around.”<\/p>\n

As she stars alongside Emily in Paris’ Lily Collins, and Brie Larson in a romcom for the streaming era, the move signals a “return to doing what she truly loves”, according to another close source.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

However, others have claimed that there were other motives to her Hollywood return. A source close to the couple’s operation told the Daily Mail<\/a>: “It seems clear that she is desperate for attention, to be relevant, and for money.”<\/p>\n

Speaking about the decision to give up acting during the couple’s engagement interview, Meghan said: “I don’t see it as giving anything up, I just see it as a change. It\u2019s a new chapter.<\/p>\n

“Right. And also keep in mind I\u2019ve been working on my show for seven years. So we’re very very fortunate to be able to have that sort of longevity on a series and for me, once we hit the 100-episode marker I thought, you know what, I have ticked this box and I feel really proud of the work I’ve done there and now it’s time to, as you said, work as a team with you.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
