Allison Mack<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about her past marriage to Canadian actress Nicki Clyne<\/strong> for the very first time.<\/p>\n

\u201cNicki was another one who didn\u2019t really like me very much. I was too much for her,\u201d Mack, 43, recalled during the third episode of the \u201cAllison After NXIVM\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cShe didn\u2019t like how performative I was, and didn\u2019t like how outgoing I was, and loud I was, and sort of boisterous and gregarious and stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

The podcast\u2019s host, journalist Natalie Robehmed<\/strong>, explained that Mack and Clyne, 42, were both \u201cfrontline\u201d DOS slaves for NXIVM<\/a>, adding that leader Keith Raniere<\/strong> was \u201chaving sex with both of them.\u201d (DOS was championed as a so-called women\u2019s empowerment group, led by Raniere.)<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were like sister wives, essentially. That\u2019s, ultimately, what it ended up being,\u201d Mack explained. \u201cEven if that\u2019s not what I initially thought it was, that was ultimately what it ended up being.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mack wanted Clyne to like her so much \u2014 so, she agreed to marry her. They tied the knot in 2017 so Clyne could stay in America.<\/p>\n

\u201cI already know I\u2019m not going to marry somebody else. What\u2019s the difference? We\u2019re basically married anyway. So why not?\u201d Mack recalled. \u201cHer mom and her and I went to a Justice of the Peace, the courthouse in L.A. somewhere, I think, and her mom was there to witness it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her mom, Mindy Mack<\/strong>, recalled being \u201chorrified\u201d after hearing the news.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was hurt that she didn\u2019t trust me,\u201d Mindy shared in the same podcast episode. \u201cI think it\u2019s because she knew that I would say, \u2018What the hell are you doing?\u2019 Because it was Keith\u2019s idea, of course. There was some stuff going on that was hurtful to me, that was extremely out of character for Allison.\u201d<\/p>\n

Allison, meanwhile, told her mom at the time to \u201cstop asking questions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Robehmed noted that \u201cweirder things were happening [to Allison] than getting married to a woman she wasn\u2019t in love with for a green card.\u201d<\/p>\n

Allison was married to Clyne until 2020. The Smallville<\/em><\/a> alum filed for divorce<\/a> as she faced a separate court battle.<\/p>\n

Allison was arrested for her connection to the NXIVM sex cult in April 2018, accused of allegedly recruiting women into the organization. She was also accused of identity fraud and money laundering. Allison eventually pleaded guilty to charges of racketeering and racketeering conspiracy. In June 2021, she was sentenced to three years in prison. She was released<\/a> in July 2023 after 21 months behind bars.<\/p>\n
