The star-studded cast, which included Stephen Fry<\/a>, Clare Balding<\/a>, Alan Carr<\/a>, Charlotte Church<\/a>, Paloma Faith<\/a> and Jonathan Ross<\/a> from the outset, will be paid for their participation.<\/p>\nAccording to reports, the celebrities were paid a flat fee of \u00a340,000 for appearing in the series. <\/p>\n
On The Rest Is Entertainment <\/a>podcast in July, host Marina Hyde said: \u201cIt\u2019s certainly interesting to compare something like Celebrity Traitors on the BBC<\/a> to I\u2019m a Celebrity on ITV.<\/p>\n\u201cAlthough we haven\u2019t seen the celebrity iteration yet, we know it\u2019s going to be massive.<\/p>\n
\u201cLook at the calibre of the people they got. They were able to pay everybody a blanket 40k fee, right? They\u2019re paying them a 40k fee.\u201d<\/p>\n
The BBC declined to comment on the fee when contacted by The Independent.<\/p>\n
