Harford\u2019s friend, Wendy Mitchell, confirmed the news to Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, stating that Harford died on Nov. 2 in Santa Barbara.<\/p>\n Though she began acting in the 1950s, her biggest roles were in the 1970s show \u201cThe Paper Chase,\u201d as Mr. Nottingham, the efficient secretary for the formidable professor Charles Kingsfield, played by John Houseman, Variety<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n Harford also played the recurring role of cook Hilda Gunnerson from 1981 to 1989, appearing in 34 episodes of the hit soap opera \u201cDynasty\u201d during its first eight seasons.
