\u00d8ya Festival<\/a> has announced another wave of acts for 2026, including CMAT<\/a>, Sombr<\/a> and Underworld<\/a>. Find all the details below.<\/p>\n The Norwegian event is due to take place at T\u00f8yen Park in Oslo between Wednesday August 12 and Saturday August 15. The Cure were announced as the first headliners<\/a> last month, with Amyl & The Sniffers<\/a> also appearing on the first line-up.<\/p>\n Later, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds<\/a> were revealed as bill-toppers as part of their European tour next year<\/a>.<\/p>\n Orangisers have now shared another run of names, and promised to announce another headliner \u201csoon\u201d.<\/p>\n Joining the aforementioned CMAT, Sombr and Underworld on the latest poster are Lambrini Girls<\/a>, Oslo-based folk outfit Valkyrien Allstars, Norwegian rapper Anakin Justin, Chicago R&B singer Ravyn Lenae, and rising Oslo singer-songwriter May.<\/p>\n Tickets for \u00d8ya Festival 2026 are\u00a0on sale now \u2013 you can buy yours here<\/a>.<\/p>\n This year\u2019s edition of \u00d8ya Festival boasted headline sets from Chappell Roan<\/a>,\u00a0Charli XCX<\/a>,\u00a0Queens Of The Stone Age<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Girl In Red<\/a>. Elsewhere on the line-up were the likes of Fontaines D.C.<\/a>,\u00a0Kneecap<\/a>,\u00a0Wet Leg<\/a>,\u00a0Beth Gibbons<\/a>,\u00a0Lola Young<\/a>,\u00a0Heartworms<\/a>,\u00a0Kelly Lee Owens <\/a>and Khruangbin<\/a>.<\/p>\n Speaking to NME <\/em>at the event<\/a>, boss Claes Olsen discussed putting on one of Europe\u2019s most acclaimed and progressive festivals at a time of challenging world politics, and talked about potential headliners for the future.<\/p>\n \u201cI like to see bands grow organically to that. There are a few smaller acts that I think are really, really good,\u201d Olsen explained. \u201cWe have a great story with Girl In Red, who played our demo stage in her first year [in 2018]<\/a> and now she\u2019s headlining; she\u2019s been touring all over the world since. I hope that happens again.<\/p>\n \u201cPeople always ask, \u2018Who\u2019s the next big thing?\u2019 You never know. In April last year, when we started talking to Charli XCX and Chappell Roan, we weren\u2019t discussing headline slots in the beginning, then things just grew and grew.\u201d<\/p>\n Olsen was then pressed on his personal dream bill-toppers, to which he responded: \u201cIt would be\u00a0Depeche Mode<\/a>, but I\u2019m pretty sure we can\u2019t fit in their production.\u201d<\/p>\n As for what first-timers could expect from \u00d8ya, he said: \u201cWe have a very unique festival site of amphitheatres where you can get very close to the stages. You can stay very close by in the city; there are a lot of venues that you can go to afterwards. It\u2019s the whole package.<\/p>\n \u201cPeople always tell us that there\u2019s more space, it\u2019s easy to get around, and you can get very close to big artists.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, CMAT has been announced as a headliner for London\u2019s LIDO Festival 2026<\/a>.
