Paul Rodgers<\/strong> may have be unable to attend the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony \u2014 but that didn’t stop him from cheering on the performers.<\/p>\n On Monday, Nov. 10, Nancy Wilson<\/strong> shared the heartfelt note the Bad Company singer sent her before she went on stage via Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n During the ceremony, the Heart guitarist joined Bryan Adams<\/strong>, Black Crowes\u2019 Chris Robinson<\/strong>, Aerosmith\u2019s Joe Perry<\/strong>, and Bad Company drummer Simon Kirke<\/strong> for a performance of \u201cFeel Like Makin\u2019 Love.\u201d<\/p>\n “Dear Nancy, Mick [Ralphs] is smiling down,” Rodgers wrote of his late bandmate. “I know you’ll do us proud!!!”<\/p>\n He signed the letter, “Love, Paul” with a heart.<\/p>\n RELATED:\u00a0Paul Rodgers Delivers Emotional Message After Missing Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Rodgers was initially set the perform with the group, but on Monday, Nov. 3, he announced he would be missing the ceremony due to unspecified health issues.<\/p>\n \u201cMy hope was to be at the Rock & Rock Hall of Fame induction ceremony and to perform for the fans, but at this time I have to prioritize my health,\u201d he said in a statement.\u00a0\u201cI have no problem singing, it\u2019s the stress of everything else. Thanks for understanding. Simon [Kirke] along with some outstanding musicians will be stepping in for me \u2014 guaranteed to rock.\u201d<\/p>\n At the ceremony, Kirke\u00a0was inducted into the Hall of Fame by\u00a0Mick Fleetwood<\/strong>. Later on, she joined Toni Cornell<\/strong> on stage for a tribute to her late father Chris Cornell<\/strong>. Chris was posthumously inducted into the Hall of Fame with his band Soundgarden.<\/p>\n “What an unforgettable night,” Wilson wrote on Instagram<\/a>. “Huge love to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Bad Company, Joe Perry, Bryan Adams, Chris Robinson, and Toni Cornell for the magic. Honored to share the stage”<\/p>\n In the comment section, Toni replied, “Will hold this night in my heart forever \u2764\ufe0f thank you so much for helping me honor my father, and Soundgarden\u2019s incredible legacy.
