The scarf-as-belt trend<\/a> that ruled the summer is getting a fall refresh thanks to Jennifer Lawrence<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Die My Love<\/em> star<\/a> put her own spin on the style as she stepped out in New York City last night. While the warmer seasons had us tying silk scarves around slipdresses and beach coverups, Lawrence leaned into autumn by tying her white-and-blue scarf (seemingly from Dior) around tailored black trousers. A slinky black tank and pointy black kitten heels paired with it perfectly.<\/p>\n

Tapping into yet another trend of the year, the actor accessorized with a long cord necklace with a blade-like silver pendant. A skinny black watch<\/a> adorned her wrist, completing the look.<\/p>\n

\u201cI notice silhouettes either online or in the streets,\u201d Lawrence told Harper\u2019s Bazaar<\/em><\/a> earlier this month, speaking of her style inspiration. She added, \u201cand living in New York is really inspirational.\u201d The actor\u2019s own nonchalant but highly informed street style<\/a> very much adds to that inspiration.<\/p>\n

Of the trends she\u2019s been feeling, Lawrence noted: \u201cI started seeing the layers coming back, which is just fun when you’re old enough to remember the trends in the early 2000s, with the tank hanging below the shirt.\u201d As for the trends she\u2019s not feeling? \u201cSkinny jeans are dead, which I\u2019m happy about,\u201d the Hunger Games<\/em> alum said. \u201cI don\u2019t want somebody to be able to tell with absolute clarity the difference of size between my thigh and my ankle.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
