Meghan Markle is joining her husband Prince Harry\u2019s family in commemorating the UK’s Remembrance Day in a surprising display of solidarity. <\/p>\n
As the Royal Family \u2014 including King Charles, Prince William, and Princess Kate \u2014 attended Remembrance Day back in the UK, the Duchess of Sussex took to her Instagram on the evening of November 11, to pay her own tribute. <\/p>\n
Using images of Prince Harry, she wrote, \u201cAs my husband says, \u2019Once served. Always serving.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you to all who served, sacrificed, and continue to serve,\u201d she added, before concluding, \u201cHonoring you on Veterans Day. And every day.\u201d Notably, Meghan chose to write \u201cVeterans Day,\u201d which is the US equivalent of Remembrance Day. <\/p>\n
Accompanying her message was a throwback video of Prince Harry from back when he was serving in Afghanistan. He was in the middle of a television interview when suddenly, he noticed his comrades running behind him. Wasting no time, Harry sprung into action and ran to his helicopter. <\/p>\n
Meghan also shared a more recent picture of Prince Harry from his Canada visit, where he was seen talking to a veteran as he wore a red poppy in honour of Remembrance Day.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As Harry\u2019s older brother Prince William recently explained in a video, \u201cWhen we wear a red poppy, or take a moment of silence, we are saying, \u2018Thank you, we have not forgotten, and we will not forget.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Meghan\u2019s message comes amid massive backlash over her and Prince Harry\u2019s attendance at Kris Jenner\u2019s star-studded 70th birthday bash at Jeff Bezos\u2019s Beverly Hills mansion on Saturday, a day before Remembrance Sunday. <\/p>\n
