Wheel of Fortune<\/em><\/a> has been blasted by a conservative mothers\u2019 organization for a new category that they deem \u201cnot family-friendly.\u201d<\/p>\n The group One Million Moms<\/a> aren\u2019t happy with a new game puzzle category Wheel of Fortune<\/em> recently added called \u201cWhat the Fun,\u201d as part of the show\u2019s \u201cYear of Fun<\/a>\u201d Season. One Million Moms thinks that the category is \u201cinsinuating profanity\u201d and that it sounds like \u201cwhat the f**k.\u201d<\/p>\n The group is known for organizing boycotts and urging activists to send emails to mainstream companies that advertise things they find offensive. They also run a website of the same name, where they voice their complaints. They titled the article, \u201cWheel of Fortune<\/em> is No Longer Family-Friendly.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cUnfortunately, the recently added puzzle category \u2018What the Fun\u2019 aims at a mature, modern audience with insinuated profanity, making it no longer suitable for family viewing,\u201d they wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is not the show it was with this implication of the f-word. This is unnecessary in any program, especially one marketed for the entire family. Parents will have to explain to their children that the primetime program they were once allowed to watch is no longer a clean show.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWheel<\/em> has deliberately chosen to include controversial categories instead of wholesome ones. One Million Moms finds this highly inappropriate,\u201d they continued. \u201cWheel<\/em> producers do not care about what children hear; everyone knows kids repeat what they hear. Insinuated profanity in any show is extremely disrespectful to families.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWheel<\/em> should maintain its original design. Wheel <\/em>needs to know that parents disapprove!\u201d<\/p>\n The site included a link to a petition that had those who signed it vow not to watch the game show until the producers do something about it.<\/p>\n What do you think about the new category?
