Superstar Sabrina Carpenter<\/a> is set to star and produce an untitled movie musical based on Lewis Carroll<\/a>\u2019s Alice in Wonderland<\/a> for Universal Pictures<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lorene Scafaria<\/a>, perhaps best known for writing and directing the Jennifer Lopez<\/a>-starring crime movie Hustlers<\/a>, will pen and helm the feature.<\/p>\n

Marc Platt<\/a>, the musical-loving producer behind both the Broadway and screen productions of Wicked<\/a>, will produce the project. Also producing will be Leslie Morgenstein<\/a> and Elysa Koplovitz Dutton<\/a> of Alloy Entertainment<\/a>, the banner behind shows such as Gossip Girl<\/a> and Pretty Little Liars<\/a>.<\/p>\n
