South Park<\/em>\u2018s newest target: Fake AI videos and revenge porn.<\/p>\n The Comedy Central hit series is seemingly shifting away from politics for a new season 28 episode dropping on Wednesday.<\/p>\n More from The Hollywood Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n In the just-released promo (watch it below) and description for the episode, the episode is apparently about how \u201cButters\u2019 Al revenge plan backfires, igniting an epidemic of fake videos at school that leaves Detective Harris struggling to tell fantasy from reality.\u201d<\/p>\n The episode is titled \u201cSora Not Sorry\u201d and comes a few weeks after fans began using<\/a> the AI video generator Sora 2 to make fake South Park<\/em> episodes. The company reportedly responded by banning users from using its product to replicate South Park<\/em> content.<\/p>\n In the promo clip, Kyle scolds Butters, \u201cYou shouldn\u2019t be using AI to make revenge porn Butters, that will totally backfire!\u201d Butters skeptically replies, \u201cEh, what will happen?\u201d The promo then cuts to a trio of horrified classmates looking at a phone saying, \u201cYou should go tell the principal.\u201d<\/p>\n The promo follows South Park<\/em> creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone defending the season\u2019s heavy steer into politics, telling The New York Times<\/em><\/a>, \u201cIt\u2019s not that we got all political,\u201d Parker said. \u201cIt\u2019s that politics became pop culture.\u201d With Stone adding: \u201cTrey and I are attracted to [what is considered taboo] like flies to honey. Oh,\u00a0that\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0where the taboo is? Over there? OK, then we\u2019re over there \u2026 we just had to show our independence somehow.\u201d<\/p>\n The new episode will premiere Wednesday at 10 p.m. on Comedy Central and then will be available to stream on Paramount+.
