In what is described as the latest move in the expansion of the Warner Records Group, Cris Lacy has been named chair & president of the newly rebranded Warner Records Nashville, the label formerly known as Warner Music Nashville. In this post, she reports to Warner Records Group CEO & Co-Chairman Aaron Bay-Schuck and COO & Co-Chairman Tom Corson.<\/p>\n
Former Warner Music Nashville Co-Chair & Co-President Gregg Nadel <\/a>will be taking on a new leadership role within Warner Music Group, with details to be announced shortly, according to the announcement. It also notes that Warner Records Nashville\u2019s activities will\u00a0be more closely aligned\u00a0with the Warner Records Group team \u201cto support and ignite country music\u2019s cultural resonance and global potential.\u201d Warner Music Nashville first came under the Warner Records umbrella in September 2024.<\/p>\n More from Variety<\/strong><\/p>\n Among many other career honors, Lacy was an honoree at Variety\u2019s inaugural Power of Women Nashville <\/a>celebration earlier this year. A singer, Vanderbilt graduate and music-publishing veteran, she is a 20-year veteran of Warner Music Nashville\u2019s operations, having climbed the A&R ranks before being named co-head of the division three years ago.<\/p>\n The move is doubly significant as it comes at a time when several female heads <\/a>of music companies <\/a>have been replaced by male executives.<\/p>\n Warner Records chiefs Aaron Bay-Schuck and Tom Corson said: \u201cThis rebrand marks an exciting new era for our flagship Nashville\u00a0label \u2014 one\u00a0that builds on everything that already makes it so special, guided by Cris\u2019 extraordinary leadership.
