An injury to the head caused by a fall resulted in the death of original Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley<\/a>, according to reports.<\/p>\n

A New Jersey medical examiner\u2019s report<\/a> obtained by TMZ<\/a> shows Frehley suffered blunt trauma to the back of his head, causing a fracture, a subdural hematoma, and a stroke. His death was ruled accidental.<\/p>\n

Frehley died on Oct. 16 at the age of 74. His family released a statement at the time saying Frehley had recently been injured in a fall.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn his last moments, we were fortunate enough to have been able to surround him with loving, caring, peaceful words, thoughts, prayers and intentions as he left this earth,\u201d the family said in the statement, the Los Angeles Times reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kiss\u2019 original lineup included Frehley, singer-guitarist Paul Stanley, tongue-wagging bassist Gene Simmons and drummer Peter Criss. Frehley\u2019s is the first death among the four founding members.<\/p>\n

Band members took on the personas of comic book-style characters \u2014 Frehley was known as \u201cSpace Ace\u201d and \u201cThe Spaceman.\u201d<\/p>\n
