Dune: Prophecy<\/a><\/em> has announced new cast members coming to the world of House Harkonnen.<\/p>\n HBO has announced that Indira Varma, Ashley Walters and Tom Hollander are joining returning Season 1 cast members Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning, Yerin Ha, Barbara Marten and Tessa Bonham Jones.<\/p>\n Inspired by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson\u2019s novel Sisterhood of Dune,<\/em> the first season gave fans an expansive look at the time before the current Dune storyline, in which the Bene Gesserit is just about to be established.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s more about the series from HBO:<\/p>\n From the expansive universe of Dune, created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, DUNE: PROPHECY follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled order that will become known as the Bene Gesserit.<\/em><\/p>\n Alison Schapker serves as showrunner and executive producer. Jordan Goldberg, Mark Tobey, Kevin Lau, Monica Owusu-Breen, Matthew King, Scott Z. Burns and Jon Spaihts also executive produce with Frank Herbert estate members Herbert, Bryan Merritt and Kim Herbert. Anderson co-produces.<\/p>\n Chloe Lea, who plays a member of the Sisterhood, Sister Lila, told Blavity\u2019s Shadow and Act<\/a> last November that the series was a \u201csharp learning curve\u201d for her when it came to learning about the Dune lore.<\/p>\n \u201cI wasn\u2019t not a fan. I just [wasn\u2019t] clued up. I hadn\u2019t done all of my homework on the Dune<\/em> world. And like you say, it\u2019s vast, and it\u2019s detailed, and coming into this and working on it, it has really ignited an interest in it and finding out more.
