Steven McBee Jr.<\/strong> revealed his family has been put through the ringer amid dad Steven \u201cSteve\u201d McBee<\/strong>\u2019s fraud trail<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThat has truly taken over the last two to three years of our lives,\u201d Steven, 32, said of his dad\u2019s legal scandal on the Tuesday, November 11, episode of the \u201cUnlocked\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cYou feel like you\u2019re wearing the scarlet letter everywhere that you go. It is like a black cloud over your head. It\u2019s been tough.\u201d<\/p>\n He confessed, \u201cThe mental anguish and toll that takes on you it\u2019s hard to even describe.\u201d<\/p>\n The podcast was taped before Steve, 53, was sentenced in October to two years in prison for his part in a multimillion-dollar crop fraud scam<\/a>.<\/p>\n McBee Dynasty\u2019s Jesse Learned About His Dad\u2019s FBI Investigation on Camera, Experienced \u2018Shell Shock\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly<\/em>, Steve was also sentenced to an additional two years on supervised release<\/a>\u00a0after pleading guilty in November 2024 to one count of federal crop insurance fraud.<\/p>\n The former McBee Farm & Cattle CEO will also have to pay $4,022,124 in restitution for his crimes and self-surrender before 2 p.m. on December 1.<\/p>\n While Steven was unaware of what sentence his father would face when he spoke with podcast host Savannah Chrisley<\/strong>, he shed light on the situation.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re hoping that it is just four years of probation,\u201d Steven said on Tuesday\u2019s episode, revealing that was what the prosecuting attorney \u201cis coming down and recommending.\u201d<\/p>\n McBee Dynasty\u2019s Jesse Breaks Down Who Runs Farm After Dad Steve McBee\u2019s FBI Investigation Scandal<\/a><\/p>\n Steven was aware the sentencing could be harsher but was hopeful there would be no jail time since his family and their company were \u201cwilling to open up our world\u201d to the court.<\/p>\n Steven, who stars alongside his dad and brothers Jesse McBee<\/strong>, Cole McBee<\/strong> and Brayden McBee<\/strong><\/a> on Bravo\u2019s The McBee Dynasty<\/em>, recalled how tough the build up to Steve\u2019s sentencing was on him. (Steven took over as the CEO of McBee Farm & Cattle while his dad was under FBI investigation.)<\/p>\n \u201cIt feels like you\u2019re wearing the scarlet letter everywhere you go. I\u2019ve still felt like that to this day,\u201d Steven shared. \u201cYou keep your chin held high, you know who you are as a person, you know what your character is, but you read articles. You read about all these things. \u2026 It makes you start to question your character.\u201d<\/p>\n When asked what the biggest misconception<\/a> has been throughout Steve\u2019s case, Steven said, \u201cThat everything we\u2019ve built, all of our businesses, the years and years of absolutely backbreaking, pretty much seven day work weeks which we do was all fraudulent.\u201d<\/p>\n The eldest McBee son confessed, \u201cI feel like the last two to three years have aged me about 10 to 15 years.\u201d<\/p>\n Steven admitted that he was ready for \u201cclosure\u201d with his dad\u2019s sentencing<\/a> after it was rescheduled four times.<\/p>\n \u201cI can deal with anything if I know what\u2019s happening. It\u2019s the anticipation and the unknown that makes it so bad on you,\u201d Steven said.<\/p>\n
