\n\tSignature Entertainment<\/a> has acquired the U.K. and Irish rights<\/a> to the Ellie Bamber-starring period romance drama Ambleside <\/em>from Vaneast Pictures.<\/p>\n \n\tDirected by Mitch Jenkins (A Million Days<\/em>, The Snow<\/em>), who co-wrote the script with Jason Wingard and Alan Govinden, the feature is based on Romesh Gunsekara\u2019s novel Prisoner of Paradise<\/em>.<\/p>\n \n\tAmbleside <\/em>is a love story, boasting a cast that includes British talent Bamber (Moss and Freud<\/em>, William Tell<\/em>), Rhona Mitra (Hollow Man<\/em>, Red Sonja<\/em>), Rupert Penry-Jones (Match Point<\/em>, Spooks<\/em>) and Medhi Dehbi, best known for his leading role in Netflix\u2019s Messiah<\/em>.<\/p>\n \n\tThe 1925-set movie follows Lucy (Bamber), who moves to Mauritius to live with her wealthy British aunt and uncle (played by Mitra and Penry-Jones, respectively).
