June Squibb<\/span><\/strong> recently reflected on her lasting friendship with her Glee <\/strong>co-star Chris Colfer<\/strong>. The veteran actress appeared on Amy Poehler\u2019s<\/strong> podcast Good Hang, where she shared sweet details about their connection that began back in 2014 on the hit Fox musical series.<\/p>\n Despite their 60-year age difference, Squibb, who\u2019s 96, and Colfer, who\u2019s 35, have built a genuine friendship that continues to this day.<\/p>\n Speaking on Amy Poehler\u2019s podcast Good Hang, June Squibb revealed that she and Colfer have remained close ever since filming Glee together over a decade ago.<\/strong> \u201cYes, we are heavy-duty buddies,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n She recalled how they first met on set when Colfer, who also wrote the episode. She said, \u201cWell, I met him on\u00a0Glee\u00a0and he had written the script and was doing the lead and it was\u00a0Peter Pan\u00a0and I was playing Wendy. It\u2019s a whole story.\u201d<\/p>\n In the episode, Colfer\u2019s character Kurt helps an older woman, Maggie, played by June Squibb, who was staging a version of Peter Pan. \u201cWe worked together so closely. It was big scenes, and I think we shot like a week and a half or two weeks \u2014 it was a long shoot, and I just sort of got to know him and liked him a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n After filming ended, June Squibb said their friendship grew stronger and remains strong to this day. She mentioned that they started having dinner together, and she got to know his partner, Will Sherrod. The veteran actress said, \u201cI adore, too. It was just great fun.\u201d<\/p>\n Squibb was asked if she advises younger friends like Colfer. She said, \u201cIf I like someone, I don\u2019t think I ever think in terms of how old they are.
