Signature Entertainment<\/a> has acquired the U.K. and Irish rights to the Ellie Bamber<\/a>-starring period romance drama Ambleside from Vaneast Pictures<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Directed by Mitch Jenkins<\/a> (A Million Days<\/a>, The Snow), who co-wrote the script with Jason Wingard<\/a> and Alan Govinden<\/a>, the feature is based on Romesh Gunsekara\u2019s novel Prisoner of Paradise.<\/p>\n

Ambleside is a love story, boasting a cast that includes British talent Bamber<\/a> (Moss<\/a> and Freud<\/a>, William Tell<\/a>), Rhona Mitra<\/a> (Hollow Man<\/a>, Red Sonja<\/a>), Rupert Penry-Jones<\/a> (Match Point, Spooks<\/a>) and Medhi Dehbi<\/a>, best known for his leading role in Netflix<\/a>\u2019s Messiah<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 1925-set movie follows Lucy (Bamber), who moves to Mauritius to live with her wealthy British aunt and uncle (played by Mitra<\/a> and Penry-Jones, respectively).
