A gentle leader, and somebody whom you can easily look up to and reach out to if you ever need help. Because the way that [my character] Willa wears her hair is a style that I wear my hair in very often, so normally I get recognized when my hair\u2019s like that, and I can kind of be hidden with my hair braided or with my hair in twists.<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"11\" class=\"css-6wxqfj emevuu60\">\u201cBut throughout filming <em data-node-id=\"11.1\">Presumed Innocent<\/em> and Paul [Thomas Anderson, the <em data-node-id=\"11.3\">One Battle After Another <\/em>director<em data-node-id=\"11.5\"\/>]\u2019s movie, I\u2019ve been so fortunate that I\u2019ve had wonderful guides and mentors in the industry. Whether it be Ruth Negga, Teyana Taylor, or Regina Hall. I\u2019m so grateful to have three incredible mentors in my life, three incredible Black women in Hollywood, who are so incredibly successful in many ways\u2014in career, in life, in love. I\u2019ve gotten so much advice from them about working in the industry and being a Black woman in the industry. Also, I have a wonderful team that is so supportive, so they guide me a lot of the way through this.
