Survivor<\/em><\/a> legend \u2018Boston\u2019 Rob Mariano<\/a> hit it off with Dylan Efron<\/a> when they starred on the third season of The Traitors<\/em><\/a> back in January, and now the pair are set to debut their own side project on YouTube.<\/p>\n Mariano spoke with Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> on Wednesday (November 12), sharing his thoughts on Efron\u2019s performances on Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a>. Efron is a cast member on the current season of the ABC competition series and earned his first perfect score with pro partner Daniella Karagach<\/a> on Tuesday\u2019s (November 11) special 20th Birthday Party episode.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m just so proud of him. It\u2019s definitely outside of his comfort zone, and he\u2019s crushing it every single week,\u201d Mariano told the outlet, adding that he talks to Efron every week to \u201chype him up\u201d and discuss strategy. \u201cThere is strategy in dancing,\u201d the Survivor<\/em> champ said. \u201cAnd we have a game plan.\u201d<\/p>\n Mariano also revealed that his Traitors<\/em> co-star has been \u201ctrying to get me to go out there [as a DWTS<\/em> contestant] next,\u201d but he admitted that dancing isn\u2019t his \u201cforte.\u201d<\/p>\n The reality TV icon is best known for his time on Survivor<\/em>, where he appeared in five seasons as a contestant and a sixth as an advisor alongside fellow winner Sandra Diaz-Twine<\/a>. He also competed on two seasons of The Amazing Race<\/em><\/a> alongside his wife, Amber,<\/a> whom he met on Survivor: All-Stars<\/em>.<\/p>\n While DWTS<\/em> might not be in Mariano\u2019s future, he did tease an upcoming project with Efron, which is dropping on YouTube soon.<\/p>\n \u201cDylan and I actually have been working on a secret side project that is in production and being edited, and it\u2019s going to drop really soon,\u201d Mariano shared. \u201cEvery time we\u2019re together, we\u2019re competing at all kinds of different things. Like, every single thing we do turns into a competition. We were like, \u2018Man, this is really funny,\u2019 and we just got some camera guys to film it.\u201d<\/p>\n He added, \u201cIt\u2019s wild when you see it. It\u2019s gonna be coming out on YouTube in the next couple of weeks, so you\u2019ll see it soon.\u201d<\/p>\n Efron, the brother of actor Zac Efron<\/a>, won the third season of The Traitors<\/em> alongside fellow \u201cFaithfuls\u201d Lord Ivar Mountbatten<\/a>, Dolores Catania<\/a>, and Gabby Windey<\/a>. Mariano was one of the \u201cTraitors\u201d and, despite forming a close friendship with Efron, was banished in Episode 7.<\/p>\n
