Johnson called it \u201ca massive, fun, heartfelt adventure\u201d and said it feels \u201cemotionally appropriate for our beloved Jumanji<\/a> franchise to end on this beautiful grace note of our final film.\u201d<\/p>\n

Back in December 2019, Johnson revealed that the new movie would explore the villain from The Next Level, Jurgen the Brutal.<\/p>\n

The story will show that Jurgen was an avatar in the game, and it will also reveal who was controlling him. Jake Kasdan<\/a>, who directed the previous films, confirmed in March 2020 that early plans for the next movie were underway.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
