Netflix has picked up a drama series about a high school hockey team in Minnesota, with Michelle Monaghan set to star.<\/p>\n
The untitled series, which has an eight-episode order, comes from creator Nick Naveda and Shawn Levy\u2019s 21 Laps Entertainment. Bridget Bedard (Love Life, Ramy<\/em>) will be the showrunner, and Trey Edward Shults is set to direct the first two episodes.<\/p>\n More from The Hollywood Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n The show is set in the town of South Dorothy, Minnesota, \u201cwhere the high school hockey team has been churning out state championships and NHL stars for decades with their legendary Coach \u2018Sully\u2019 Sullivan at the helm,\u201d the logline reads. \u201cWhen a bus crash claims the lives of several players and Sully himself, the town looks to Harper Sullivan (Monaghan) \u2014 Coach Sully\u2019s widow \u2014 to coach a new team of battered and broken young men.
