Jeopardy!<\/em><\/a> fans have debated whether or not the celebrity video questions are necessary on the game show<\/a>.<\/p>\n It doesn\u2019t happen every episode, but typically once a week, Jeopardy!<\/em> has a category where a celebrity, or a few celebrities, present a clue in video format. They are usually promoting an upcoming release.<\/p>\n One of the most recent categories, \u201cHistoric Days of Our Lives,\u201d had the cast of Days of Our Lives<\/em><\/a> presenting clues about history that tied into the soap opera. The game show even had Sesame Street<\/em><\/a> characters giving clues<\/a> on President Grover Cleveland. Other recent celebrities that have appeared on Jeopardy!<\/em> include director Aaron Sorkin<\/a>, the cast<\/a> of Wicked<\/em><\/a>, and chef Gordon Ramsay<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cRandom Survey Question: Do you like or not like it when there is a category in which they cut to a video of a celebrity reading the answers? I personally am not a fan, as it\u2019s just a tiny time suck cutting to the video. Just let Ken [Jennings<\/a>] read the answers and keep the game rolling smoothly,\u201d a fan in Jeopardy Fan Group<\/a> asked.<\/p>\n Fans complained about the category on Facebook. \u201cDo not like it one bit. Last night, when they had Grover giving the clues, I could barely understand what he was saying. I agree, just let Ken read the questions,\u201d one fan said.<\/p>\n \u201cThat was a tough one to watch,\u201d replied a fan.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t like any of the video clues. I can understand the question SO much better if I can see it visually. And the celebrity ones are usually just some sort of thinly veiled ad anyway, so I\u2019m definitely not in favor of them,\u201d a Facebook user said.<\/p>\n \u201cNot a fan. Not necessary. It doesn\u2019t add anything to the show,\u201d added a fourth.<\/p>\n \u201cI like when Ken just reads the answers,\u201d said another.<\/p>\n \u201cHate it. Just an advertisement anyway,\u201d a fan wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cAgree, the celebrity seems to read so slowly. Seldom find it adds to game,\u201d commented a fan.<\/p>\n \u201cI hate that. Takes too much time,\u201d another wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cNo, it\u2019s annoying. The Grover one was ridiculous,\u201d one last critic said.<\/p>\n On the other side of things, some fans don\u2019t mind it. \u201cI love those! Grover from Sesame Street<\/em>, giving clues about Grover Cleveland, was inspired. My favorite was when the actors from Y&R gave clues in character. You could tell they were having fun,\u201d commented another.<\/p>\n \u201cIf done right, it makes the clues fun and breaks up the boredom,\u201d replied another.<\/p>\n \u201cI like it! It is an interesting variation. I did like Grover giving the clues. He is a favorite in our family,\u201d said a third.<\/p>\n \u201cI like it!
