(When the museum was first established, it was called the Arkansas War Memorial to honor World War I veterans.) Educators will discuss the different roles men and women played in the war, from the front lines to the home front, covering the activities of the U.S. Infantry and Cavalry, the American Legion, World War I field medicine, the Red Cross, the Salvation Army and early 20th-century health and hygiene. Students from 14 area schools, taking inspiration from three current exhibitions \u2014 \u201cstil\/leven, still\/even,\u201d \u201cTaking Up Space\u201d and \u201cEchoes of Silent Migration\u201d (the latter containing interdisciplinary works by Faal) \u2014 turned in more than 160 submissions, work and artist statements, virtually, for consideration by juror Somayeh Faal, who will give an artist talk at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Fowler Center Grand Hall.
