Robyn is back with a\u00a0new single, “Dopamine”<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 and fans couldn’t be more thrilled over her long-awaited return to music.<\/p>\n The new single, which dropped on Wednesday alongside\u00a0a music video<\/a>\u00a0featuring Robyn dancing alone as well as with\u00a0her son, Tyko<\/a>, is the Swedish singer’s first in seven years. The song reunites Robyn with\u00a0Klas \u00c5hlund, her longtime collaborator, who also worked with her on songs like her 2010 hit “Dancing on My Own.”<\/p>\n The dance-y track “Dopamine” features lyrics like “I know it’s just dopamine \/<\/em>\u00a0But it feels so real to me \/\u00a0I’m tripping on our chemistry \/ It’s firing up inside of me \/ I just need to know \/ That I’m not alone \/ I know it’s just dopamine \/ But it feels so real to me<\/em>.”<\/p>\n Fans love the new single. In the comments section of the music\u00a0video, one wrote, “It’s great of Robyn to be in charge of the music again, she’s absolutely awesome!” Another welcomed back the artist, writing that she “came to save music once again.” A third thanked the musician for “being a shining light in my world, and for being a constant source of joy and true artistry!”<\/p>\n And another likened Robyn’s return to that of\u00a0Hilary Duff<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Vanessa Carlton<\/a>, both of whom released new songs this month after taking a break from releasing music.<\/p>\n Watch the music video below.<\/p>\n Back in September,\u00a0\u00c5hlund revealed on the podcast\u00a0Nordmark Pod<\/em><\/a>\u00a0that the two were\u00a0working together on an album<\/a>. The upcoming work is Robyn’s first album since her 2018 release,\u00a0Honey,\u00a0<\/em>which featured\u00a0songs like “Missing U” and “Baby Forgive Me.”<\/p>\n It\u2019s not unusual for Robyn to take some time between new music. She took nearly eight years between her 2010 album,\u00a0Body Talk \u2014\u00a0<\/em>which was three mini albums that dropped at separate times across 2010\u00a0\u2014<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Honey<\/em>.<\/p>\n
