Cheap Trick<\/a> will be releasing its 21st studio album, All Washed Up<\/em>, this Friday, November 14. In advance of the new record\u2019s arrival, the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers from Rockford, Illinois, have debuted a music video for their latest single, \u201cThe Riff That Won\u2019t Quit.\u201d<\/p>\n As its title suggests, \u201cThe Riff That Won\u2019t Quit\u201d is a hard-driving rock tune laden with incessant guitar riffs. The first was the psychedelic\/power-pop gem \u201cTwelve Gates<\/a>,\u201d which was written by Zander\u2019s son, Robin Taylor Zander.<\/p>\n Robin Zander and bassist Tom Petersson recently took part in a video interview on the TalkShopLive website<\/a> to chat about various aspects of All Washed Up<\/em>.<\/p>\n During the Q&A, Zander commented that he was happy to unexpectedly come across \u201cThe Riff That Won\u2019t Quit\u201d while watching sports on TV.<\/p>\n \u201cI was watching Sunday Night Football,\u201d he shared. \u201cAnd 1:30 in the morning they replayed some of it, and they played that song almost all the way through during the playback of the [game].\u201d<\/p>\n All Washed Up <\/em>was recorded at multiple studios in Nashville and at Sweetzerland Studios near Los Angeles.
