Model Ella Halikas<\/strong> shared what she really thought of Sydney Sweeney<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s latest movie, Christy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Halikas, 28, opened up to TMZ<\/a> on Tuesday, November 11, about Sweneey\u2019s biopic about former professional boxer Christy Martin<\/strong>, sharing that she thought it underperformed in theaters on its opening weekend because the actress<\/a> wasn\u2019t \u201chalf naked.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAll I will say is that I think that she had branded herself, and people know of her, in a lot of her roles for showing skin, showing the ta-tas, feeling hot and beautiful,\u201d Halikas explained.<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cAnd I feel like when you\u2019re more covered, and you\u2019re not in that role, they\u2019re kind of like, \u2018We don\u2019t know what to make of it\u2019 right?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSydney Sweeney knows how to make an entrance. The actress, 28, stunned in a sheer silver gown at Variety\u2019s Power of Women event on Wednesday, October 29. She smiled as she hit the red carpet, keeping her jewelry minimal and her makeup neutral. Her blonde hair was styled in a simple bob with a side [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Halikas, who has posed for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, shared that Sweneey, 28, is seen by her fans as a \u201cbeautiful woman on screen where they\u2019re gonna see that body.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf they don\u2019t, and it\u2019s kind of a different role for her, I feel like maybe you miss the crowd or audience that way,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n

Christy premiered in theaters on November 7 and according to Forbes<\/a>, the movie was one of the \u201cworst-grossing wide-released movies in box office history.\u201d<\/p>\n

The publication added that the film grossed $1.3 million domestically, which averaged out to $646 per theater. The results placed the movie in the bottom 10 wide-released movies ever.<\/p>\n

Over the weekend, Sweeney\u2019s new film which ranked in the top 12 worst ever for movies showing on more than 2000 screens, grossed a meager $1.3 million after being released in 2,011 theaters \u2013 averaging $649 per venue, according to The Wrap.<\/p>\n

Sweeney responded to the numbers via Instagram<\/a> earlier this week, writing, \u201cIf Christy gave even one woman the courage to take her first step toward safety, then we will have succeeded. so yes I\u2019m proud. Why? because we don\u2019t always just make art for numbers, we make it for impact.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sweneey added, \u201cAnd Christy has been the most impactful project of my life. Thank you Christy. I love you.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also gushed about how \u201cdeeply proud\u201d she was of her work in the movie. \u201cProud of the film David made. Proud of the story we told. proud to represent someone as strong and resilient as Christy Martin. This experience has been one of the greatest honors of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

She noted that the movie stood for \u201csurvival, courage, and hope.\u201d<\/p>\n
