\t\t\t\t\tIn the book The Windsor Legacy: A Royal Dynasty<\/em>, author Robert Jobson<\/strong> claims that Andrew Mountbatten Windsor once asked for $42,000 to cover the cost of live-in spiritual gurus to treat him at his home. King Charles III was allegedly “horrified” by the request and said no. Their mother, Queen Elizabeth II<\/strong>, however, previously “passed the request through.”<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\tThe refusal from King Charles III is part of an effort to streamline the royal family’s spending. “The palace began to shift, not loudly, but unmistakably. His mark was there, quiet but undeniable,” Robert Jobson wrote of the monarch. One senior insider reportedly told him, “This isn’t about financial cuts. \u2026 It’s about getting value for money and efficiency. Sometimes less truly is more.”<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\tKing Charles III isn’t only cutting off Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. He’s also reportedly making moves to stop all non-working members of the royal family from securing housing that’s bankrolled by The Firm. A second source told Robert Jobson, “Properties will be let at commercial rates going forward and to people outside the family. Where it is in a palace environment, they will, of course, be security vetted.” A third source added, “The king isn’t running a housing association for distant relatives.”<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\tThe tightening of the purse strings is an opportunity for King Charles III to strengthen the royal family as an institution. “There have been staff cutbacks. That started straight away. The buzz phrase in the household now is ‘value for money,'” a fourth source told Robert Jobson.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\tThe cash flow shift is paying off. According to the Daily Express<\/a><\/em>, in the 2024 to 2025 financial year, the official net expenditure of The Firm was $111,910,626.00 \u2014 a decrease of four percent compared with the previous year. <\/div><\/div>\n
