Ariana Grande<\/a> has proven once again that she\u2019s the queen of impressions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n In a Vanity Fair video interview<\/a> published Tuesday, the \u201cWicked\u201d star, in conversation with co-star Bowen Yang, revealed she had to convince SNL<\/a> head Lorne Michaels to let Yang take on his role as Pfannee in the blockbuster film.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI initially wasn\u2019t going to be in \u2018Wicked\u2019 due to an SNL conflict. But you called this person to ask him to let me do it. Did he give you any pushback?\u201d Yang asked as an image of Michaels appears on the video.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Grande called Michaels and started out with niceties, but he quickly wanted her to get to the point. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI would do anything if we could make it happen for Bowen to come be in \u2018Wicked,\u2019\u201d she said in the video. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Quickly, Grande starts impersonating Michaels with a spot-on impression of the SNL creator.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWell, you know, I mean he\u2019s everyone\u2019s favorite on the show. And that\u2019s why you want him to be in \u201cWicked\u201d so badly,\u201d she said, in a curt tone, mimicking Michaels. \u201cSo we need him to be in the show, but if you can work something out.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Grande said she is \u201cso grateful\u201d that Yang was able to appear in the films.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWicked: For Good\u201d premieres in theaters on Nov. 21. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
