English Teacher<\/a> will be ending after two seasons.<\/p>\n

FX<\/a> has decided not to renew the sitcom, created by Brian Jordan Alvarez<\/a>, who also stars in the show, The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> has learned.<\/p>\n

English Teacher<\/a>, set in Austin, follows gay high school English teacher Evan Marquez<\/a> (Alvarez<\/a>) as he tries to balance his professional and personal life, as well as the demands of the students and their parents, alongside his co-workers.<\/p>\n

Other castmembers included Stephanie Koenig<\/a>, Enrico Colantoni<\/a>, Sean Patton<\/a> and Carmen Christopher<\/a>. In addition to Alvarez, Paul Simms<\/a>, Jonathan Krisel<\/a>, Dave King<\/a>, Kathryn Dean<\/a>, Jake Bender<\/a> and Zach Dunn<\/a> also executive produced the show.<\/p>\n

The 10-episode second season of English Teacher<\/a> premiered in September 2025. FX didn\u2019t share the reason behind the cancellation.<\/p>\n
