Pugh described going to intense mental places to portray Dani\u2019s grief, saying, \u201cAt the beginning, I just imagined hearing the news that one of my siblings had died\u2026 towards the end of the shoot, I actually was going to my whole family\u2019s funeral.\u201d<\/p>\n Pugh also admitted she \u201creally put myself through it\u201d to deliver an authentic performance. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t just crying.
