Bobby Bones<\/strong> is not happy with former Dancing With The Stars<\/em> host Tom Bergeron<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The season 27 champion called out Bergeron via TikTok<\/a> on Wednesday, Nov. 12 for comments he made about his win during an exclusive interview with Parade<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n When asked about the most shocking elimination he witnessed during his 28-season tenure on the show, Bergeron instead offered up Bones and his professional partner Sharna Burgess<\/strong> as the most shocking win. The result was controversial at the time as Bones was considered one of the weaker dancers that season, and his win ultimately led to the implementation of the \u201cJudge\u2019s Save\u201d from seasons 28-32.<\/p>\n \u201cI try not to get my feelings hurt, especially about stuff like this, but this was hurtful,\u201d Bones began the video. \u201cAnd not because of what was said, but really who said it.\u201d<\/p>\n Bones then played a snippet of the comments, noting that he took issue with Bergeron flipping the question just to criticize him. Regardless, Bones admitted he still really \u201clikes\u201d and \u201cadmires\u201d Bergeron from the time they spent together during his season.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s funny you\u2019re asking about eliminations,\u201d Bergeron told Parade<\/em>. \u201cThe thing that shocked me most was a win. Bobby Bones.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBobby Bones was the first time it was like, \u2018Ouch,\u2019\u201d he continued. \u201cNo disrespect to Bobby. I didn\u2019t even want to be on the show. Like I had no intention of being on Dancing With The Stars<\/em>. I was working on [American Idol<\/em>] at the network and they asked me to go on the show to promote. Am I supposed to not show up and work hard? Am I supposed to not give it freaking everything that I have? Am I supposed to throw it and not win? Like it\u2019s crazy the amount of hate I get even from people that I respect like Tom Bergeron.\u201d<\/p>\n Bones also called out Dancing With The Stars<\/em> co-host Julianne Hough<\/strong>, who said on an episode of Watch What Happens Live<\/em> in August 2024 that she \u201cstrongly disagreed\u201d with his win.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel like a sixth grader and all the ninth grade dancing kids are shoving me in lockers,\u201d Bones added, \u201cWhat did I do? I had a great attitude, I worked hard, and here we are 6 years later, I\u2019m still catching strays out of nowhere.\u201d<\/p>\n The radio personality then made a shocking reveal \u2014 he returned his Mirrorball Trophy back to ABC.<\/p>\n \u201cI sent the trophy back. They don\u2019t want me to be apart of the show, obviously, so I don\u2019t want to be somewhere that doesn\u2019t want me to be there,\u201d he said. \u201cI loved my time there, but I would say things like this\u2026have just taken all the joy away from my time on the show, which is crazy because it was such a great, joyous time even though I was the only one in the whole crew that was dancing that had a full-time job at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n He concluded, \u201cI\u2019m out. Nobody wants me there anyway, so go where you\u2019re celebrated not tolerated.
