Taylor Swift has received an unofficial invitation to perform in Las Vegas with (wait for it) the Backstreet Boys!<\/p>\n
TMZ caught up with<\/a> AJ McLean who had an incredible idea to bring Swift on stage at The Sphere to perform her song “Elizabeth Taylor” after a mash-up of the song with BSB’s “Everybody.” It appears as though the two songs were put together by Lydia Getachew, per Instagram<\/a>. The mash-up has gone viral on TikTok and fans have absolutely loved it \u2014 and they aren’t the only ones.<\/p>\n McLean shared the mash-up tune on Instagram<\/a> in October \u2014 and even got Swift’s attention.<\/p>\n “Come on now you know one of us had to! @taylorswift,” he captioned the post.<\/p>\n Then, Swift popped up in the comments section.<\/p>\n “OH HI AJ OH MY GOD,” she wrote<\/a>. Her comment received more than 188,000 likes.<\/p>\n Now, McLean thinks it would be awesome to have Swift join him and the guys in Sin City to perform the song together.<\/p>\n “I don’t know if she’d ever do it, but I think Taylor would absolutely destroy it,” McLean told TMZ. “She is a fan, and we’re a massive fan of hers. I mean, she’s the sweetest. She’s been so kind to my daughters anytime that we’ve had a chance to hang out and meet her at her shows. She’s just the best.”<\/p>\n Given the feedback on the mash-up from fans, we’re certain that Swift would make quite the splash if she decided to perform “Elizabeth Taylor” with the guys, but we have a funny feeling that it won’t actually happen \u2014 at least not live. Swift has officially moved into a new era and she’s enjoying some time off after her wildly successful Eras Tour. Moreover, she’s got a wedding to plan!<\/p>\n But, hey.
