\n\tGeorge Clooney<\/a> is weighing in on Hollywood\u2019s increasing use of AI and expressing his concern.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe thing that really rattled Hollywood in general was the Sora 2 stuff. That shook everybody because suddenly the quality was much better and it\u2019s scary,\u201d he told me at the Los Angeles premiere of \u201cJay Kelly\u201d on Tuesday night at the Egyptian Theater. \u201cBut you know, AI is gonna have the same problem that we have in Hollywood, which is making a star is not so easy. You can\u2019t really describe what makes someone a star, and it\u2019s not looks. It\u2019s something unusual and it\u2019s hard to detect. They\u2019ll have the same problems that we have.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tClooney has seen unauthorized AI versions of himself online. \u201cThere\u2019s been some really actually awful ones where they\u2019ve done and said things that I\u2019ve never done and said and put me out there and it\u2019s dangerous,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s dangerous for your family. It\u2019s dangerous. It\u2019s complicated, but the genie is out of the bottle and I\u2019m not quite sure what we\u2019re gonna do.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEline Van der Velden, the creator of controversial AI character Tilly Norwood, recently said in a new interview with Variety\u2019s Gene Maddaus<\/a> that she is already working with studios to provide AI content for movies but predicts full AI feature films will be \u201cnext.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m sure in the coming year, there\u2019ll be plenty of effects that will be made with AI,\u201d she said. \u201cThere\u2019ll be some establishing shots, there\u2019ll be some second-unit shots with AI, and then slowly, we\u2019ll progress to a full AI film. And whether people will pay for an AI film or not \u2014 I don\u2019t think they\u2019ll know the difference. It\u2019s good storytelling that will be the reason why people will pay for it or not.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tVan der Velden sparked backlash in September when she claimed that talent agencies were clamoring to sign Tilly.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAs a creative, I have really enjoyed creating her,\u201d Van der Velden told Variety. \u201cIt\u2019s been just like a writer creating characters. You fall in love with your characters when you\u2019re writing them. It\u2019s a wonderful process. It wasn\u2019t like I just made her in a second, and that was it. You know, it took a long time.\u201d<\/p>\n
