From November 22, 2025 to January 6, 2026, they will be on daily from 5.30\u202fpm to 1\u202fam. On Fridays, Saturdays, and special dates such as December 24, 25, and 31, and January 5, the lights will stay on an extra hour, until 2\u202fam.<\/p>\n<p>The festive program also features five themed light routes, each designed to guide visitors through the city&#8217;s displays. Among them, the &#8220;Light and Water&#8221; route will showcase 39 ornamental fountains across Barcelona&#8217;s ten districts.<\/p>\n<h4>Barcelona Christmas Festival<\/h4>\n<p>The Barcelona Christmas Festival takes place in Pla\u00e7a de Catalunya from December 20 to 30, featuring <strong>357 street performances<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The program, under the artistic direction of Sergi Ots and with Jordi Duran curating the evening shows, will blend theatre, dance, circus, and music across four daily time slots: family-friendly mornings, circus and dance afternoons, musical evenings, and &#8220;spectacular&#8221; night shows.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h4>Christmas tree and nativity scene<\/h4>\n<p>A 15-metre Christmas tree will be on display in Pla\u00e7a Sant Jaume, home to both the Catalan government and the city council.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The two institutions will also collaborate on a joint artistic installation. reinterpreting traditional Christmas images through digital art, projected onto the fa\u00e7ades of the government and council buildings. Last year&#8217;s display drew around 180,000 visitors.
