Powell and Cruise collaborated on 2022\u2019s Top Gun: Maverick and have shared a close bond since then. Cruise, a known cinephile, recently showed his support for Powell\u2019s latest film, The Running Man, by joining him at a screening for the film.<\/p>\n In a recent interview with IndieWire<\/a>\u2018s Mike Ryan, Powell was reminded of a time when he mentioned receiving advice from Tom Cruise about running at night.
