Mainly because\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/musically.com\/2024\/06\/11\/tunecore-reaches-the-milestone-of-4bn-payouts-to-artists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">it IS less than a year and a half<\/a>\u00a0since we did that. Now the distributor has hit its next milestone: $5bn of payouts to independent artists since its launch in 2006. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A billion more dollars in 17 months means TuneCore has paid out an average of $58.8m a month over that period.
