Films Boutique is handling international sales.<\/p>\n Previously announced deals include Janus Films\u2019 acquisition of the rights for North America, where the film opened on Nov. 7 at Lincoln Center, while Picturehouse Entertainment picked up U.K. and Ireland rights.<\/p>\n More from Variety<\/strong><\/p>\n The latest buyers include Condor Distribution (France), Mubi (Latin America, Eastern Europe, Indian Subcontinent, Turkey, Italy, Greece and Portugal, among others), Salzgeber (Germany and Austria), Imagine Film Distribution (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg), Cirko Film (Hungary), Filmin (Spain), Nonstop Entertainment (Scandinavia and Baltics), Mayfly (Poland), and Hooray Films (Taiwan).<\/p>\n The film is written and directed by Ira Sachs, whose credits include \u201cPassages,\u201d \u201cKeep the Lights On\u201d and \u201cLove Is Strange.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cPeter Hujar\u2019s Day\u201d is set over a 24-hour period in December 1974 and centers on one conversation between photographer Peter Hujar (Ben Whishaw) and his close friend, writer Linda Rosenkrantz (Rebecca Hall), who recorded their talk for an art project. Hujar, who died of AIDS in 1987, only became celebrated as an artist after his death.<\/p>\n Owen Gleiberman of Variety described the film as a \u201cmagical (\u2026) time capsule of a movie.\u201d<\/p>\n Jordan Drake and Jonah Disend serve as the U.S. producers alongside Berlin-based One Two Films. Fred Burle and Aaron Craig co-produced.<\/p>\n The film is a Complementary Colors, Blink Productions and Primo Content presentation in association with We Are Films and Materia Cinema.<\/p>\n Executive producers are Lucas Joaquin, Paul Weston, Corin Taylor, Michelle Jaffe, Martin Kalina, Nicolas P\u00e9rez Veiga, Alfredo P\u00e9rez Veiga, Franklin Laviola, Nicholas Laviola, Ellis Fox, Sol Bondy, Nadine Rothschild, In\u00e9s Massa, Whishaw, Hall and Adam Kersh.
