\u201cThe final cut of the video is exactly how I dreamed it\u2014gritty, sexy, and a little unhinged\u2026 just like the song.\u201d<\/em> \u2013 Carla Harvey<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018Sex And Cigarettes\u2019 was the first song I wrote for The Violent Hour EP,\u201d said Carla. \u201cIt\u2019s fun, sexy, and a full-throttle riot-grrrl love letter to chaos and chemistry.\u201d For the music video, Carla wrote the treatment, personally scouted most of the locations, from Circus Liquor to L.A.\u2019s infamous Mustang Motel, and tracked down the badasss red convertible that was part of the adventure.<\/p>\n \u201cSex And Cigarettes\u201d is the third video from the band\u2019s debut EP, following videos for the tracks \u201cSick Ones\u201d and \u201cHell Or Hollywood.\u201d Check out the \u201cSex And Cigarettes\u201d music video below.<\/p>\n \u201cI wanted to capture the energy and instant camaraderie we have as a band in a modern, Russ Meyer-esque fever dream that turns a simple road trip to a gig into absolute madness,\u201d Harvey added. \u201cI enlisted director Nathan Mowery to bring the vision to life. He\u2019s not only a filmmaker, but also a wrestler, so I knew he\u2019d nail the finale I imagined. The final cut is exactly how I dreamed it\u2014gritty, sexy, and a little unhinged\u2026 just like the song.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe hadn\u2019t been a band for very long before filming the video,\u201d said rhythm guitarist Allie Kaye, \u201cbut spending a full day together to shoot these killer scenes brought us closer together as a group.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe energy on the set of our first music video was truly unforgettable,\u201d said lead guitarist Kiana De Leon. \u201cEvery moment filming felt less like work and more like hanging out with your friends, everyone just naturally vibed with each other. The chemistry was instant, and we all clicked as a whole. It was all good vibes, start to finish, and you can truly feel that excitement in every single scene.\u201d \u201cIf you\u2019re not having fun with your band mates,\u201d added drummer Sasha DeLeon, then what are you doing?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI never had so much fun filming a music video,\u201d said bassist Jewel Steele. \u201cMy favorite part was Carla driving the 63\u2019 Ford Falcon Futura all around LA while we were rocking out and having a blast!\u201d<\/p>\n
