It is the first update to the ride since 2016. <\/p>\n The new additions include over 2,000 new holiday lights strung up in garlands, a new Christmas-themed soundtrack, and 11 new animatronic elves along the track. <\/p>\n \u201cDrawing inspiration from Hershey\u2019s iconic 1980s and 1990s holiday elves, the new characters blend nostalgic design with a fresh, playful spirit,\u201d a press release for the new updates reads.<\/p>\n The ride has also replaced several digital displays with new analog animatronic features.
