Wheel of Fortune has lost over 12,000 viewers after making a change to the puzzle board.<\/p>\n

The hit ABC<\/a> game show recently introduced a new category titled What the Fun?, which hints at profanity-laced phrases. The change has caused a frenzy amongst fans, specifically with a conservative group called One Million Moms.<\/p>\n

The organization has launched a campaign, calling for a boycott of Wheel of Fortune<\/a> now that the show\u2019s format is \u201ctainted.\u201d<\/p>\n

Within a posting on their website, One Million Moms<\/a> started, \u201cThe once family-friendly Wheel of Fortune game show is no more.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately, the recently added puzzle category \u2018What the Fun\u2019 aims at a mature, modern audience with insinuated profanity, making it no longer suitable for family viewing,\u201d they continued.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

So far, One Million Moms has gathered 13,297 signers to boycott the game show.<\/p>\n

Wheel of Fortune has not responded to the group\u2019s request; however, there is a possibility their concerns won\u2019t be heard as the signers make up a small fraction of the 7.9 million viewers they draw in every night. According to Nielsen, it is one of the most-watched shows in the entertainment industry.<\/p>\n

As they await the removal of the category, the organization is also boycotting HGTV and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, which they claim is using an \u201coffensive marketing campaign.\u201d They have attempted to highlight their argument by pointing out two phrases within the trailer: \u201cShip\u2019s About to Go Down\u201d and \u201cThis Christmas They Are in Deep Ship.\u201d<\/p>\n

The group was created in 2000 by the American Family Association. Over the years, they have found \u201csuccesses\u201d in the alterations of cancellations of several series like Once Upon A Time, The Real O\u2019Neals and Disney<\/a> Channel\u2019s The Owl House.<\/p>\n

Wheel of Fortune airs on ABC every weeknight at 7:30 pm EST.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
