Michael Duarte\u2019s<\/strong> <\/a>wife Jessica<\/strong> has posted an emotional statement in the wake of her husband\u2019s death<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jessica admitted she had \u201cstruggled with what to do\u201d since the death of Micheal, also known as Food With Bear Hands, in a lengthy post shared via her husband\u2019s Instagram account<\/a>\u00a0on Thursday, November 13.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel so touched and proud to know so many people that he has inspired over his time here on earth. I plan to keep his legacy going not only for him but his family,\u201d Jessica wrote. \u201cHe gave everyone every bit of him so it\u2019s my turn to give it back. I\u2019m not quite sure what that looks like yet but hopefully he will lead me on that path.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cThank you to everyone who has reached out. The outpouring love has really given me strength. I can feel him moving mountains\u2764\ufe0f a big thank you to my tribe & Mike\u2019s BBQ community for making me feel like I have an army behind me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jessica explained she was still grieving the loss of Michael, who died on November 8<\/a>, just three days after the couple celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary. (The couple share a 6-year-old daughter, Oakley.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m still struggling with the fact that he is no longer with us but l\u2019m starting to see his purpose was SO much bigger. I\u2019m starting to see God work in mysterious ways that l\u2019ve never experienced before and hoping that will bring our family some peace,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

Jessica went on to add that funeral arrangements have not yet been finalized and urged people not to spread false narratives surrounding the nature of Michael\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

She concluded the post, \u201cMike, I\u2019m proud to be your wife and I will carry that title with honor for the rest of my life. See you on the other side, Daddy \u2764\ufe0f\u201d<\/p>\n

Jessica previously shared a heartfelt tribute to her late husband via Instagram on Sunday, November 9 in the aftermath of the tragic news.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been 24 hours since my world came crashing down. I\u2019m numb, angry, depressed. Words can\u2019t describe this kind of pain. I never thought I would be writing this,\u201d she wrote. \u201cTo the world you were foodwithbearhands but to us you were a loving husband and father. You didn\u2019t deserve this. I will love you forever and I will be strong for our daughter and I know how much you loved us. If everyone can stop and please pray for our family. To my husband I will miss you\u2026until we meet again \ud83d\udc94.\u201d<\/p>\n
